The results of the Whats on Stage Theatregoers Choice Awards 2007 are in!
Over 12,000 members of the theatregoing public cast their online votes and with Wícked winning all four of its nominated categories. The musical averaged over 51% of the total votes cast and also won more awards than any other production.
Here are the results and the percentage each nominee recieved!
Idina Menzel: Best Actress in a Musical 51.8%
Miriam Margolyes: Best supporting Actress in a Musical 48.9%
Wicked: Best Superbreak New Musical 50.8%
Eugene Lee: Best Set Designer 56.2%

Kerry Ellis Officially lands in Oz.
Kerry Ellis is now perfoming as Elphaba, so far so good :) .....

Goodbye Idina.
Idina Menzel officially finished her run as Elphaba in Wícked on the 30th December 2006. Menzel had been involved in the OBC of Wícked, of which she won a Tony Award for and then six months ago came to the West end to reprise the role, and what a fantastic job she did!
Kerry Ellis is now playing Elphaba and is also doing an amazing job of it. Wícked just keeps on growing and developing, hopefully for many years to come!!

A New Madame Morrible?
Susie Blake, probably most known in England, for her role as "Bev" on ITV's Corination Street, will soon be replacing the fabulous Miriam Margolyes in Wícked! Miram plays Madame Morrible in the show and is set to finish on Saturday 31st March. From April 2nd Susie will take over! Break a Leg Susie and good luck to Miriam in the future, she has a done a wonderful job at playing Madame Morrible, pure comedy genius ;) !
